5 things to do before your maid arrives

#1 – Declutter and Tidy Up

This means washing the dishes in the sink and putting them away. Placing loose items on counter tops into drawers or closets or baskets. Putting toys away. Cleaning up clutter off the floors and putting dirty laundry in the hamper. Trash into the garbage, you get the picture. Your cleaning team is here to do the scrubbing and the deep cleaning. Organize first, and your cleaners will be able to give you the best possible clean because their time will be spent scrubbing and not “picking up”.

#2 – Make sure your cleaning team is able to get in.

Some clients like to hide a key, give the cleaners their alarm code, and some are home to let us in; whatever makes YOU feel comfortable, just as long as we are not locked out and you won’t have to worry about incurring any additional fees.

#3 – Don’t forget to Leave payment

Place your cash or check on the counter or arrange payment with the office ahead of time. Leaving a Credit Card on file is often a hassle free solution.

#4 – Crate dogs.

This is for the cleaners safety, but also makes your nervous dog feel much better too (vacuums can be pretty scary!)

#5 – Special instructions or requests

please leave a note for your cleaner if you won’t be home, or call the office.  We want to make sure you are 100% happy!
